Before the Ancient Realm Clans built their magnificent cities and before the Age of Invention transformed civilization, the realms themselves were already alive. When Primora created the elemental worlds from the Cosmic Core, the first life to emerge was not intelligent beings, but colossal and mystical creatures born directly from the elemental landscape. Mountains awakened as titanic guardians, rivers took serpentine forms, forests gained consciousness, and storms became living entities. These firstborn species came to be known as the Primeval Dominion.
Unlike ordinary animals, Primevals are inseparable from the realms they inhabit. Their bodies contain traces of Cosmic Elemental Energy and act as natural conduits that sustain the balance of the world. Entire ecosystems evolved around them. Tiny Spiritlings spread life energy, Crystal Herds shaped valleys through migration, Predators maintained balance, Titans molded landscapes, Wyrms regulated elemental flows beneath dimensions, and the ancient Beast Lords silently watched over all creation.
As civilizations emerged, the ancient clans learned to respect these beings. Rather than conquering them, explorers and scholars sought to understand their mysteries. They discovered that many technological marvels—including Elemental Cores, Morph Vehicles, Exosuits, and countless inventions—were inspired by observing Primeval species. The Primevals themselves preferred isolation and established their own territories across hidden valleys, floating islands, crystal caverns, and ancient sanctuaries. They do not attack without reason and rarely interfere with civilization, but when their domains are disturbed, the realms answer through them.
Over thousands of years, a sacred tradition arose among the clans. Special individuals known as Bondkeepers learned to communicate with Primeval creatures and form bonds based on trust rather than domination. These partnerships allowed civilizations and nature to coexist in harmony. Yet legends speak of a forgotten prophecy—the Great Awakening. Should darkness threaten the balance of the realms, the Primeval Dominion will rise together once more, and civilization and Primevals shall stand side by side, not as masters and beasts, but as guardians of a shared world.
